The current set of products of Fertis India Ltd. are the outcome of 20 years of R&D and deliver much superior results in quantity and quality of the agricultural produce.
The challenge is to convince the farmers on the concept of adopting total nutrition schedule of the crop and observe the benefits they give to the environment and human health, besides sustainability, higher quality parameters and profits from the crops.
The crop segments of fruits & vegetables, plantations and the export-oriented crops, which are conscious of the pesticide’s residue levels and quality parameters, are the major opportunities we look for in Africa.
In Africa there is an opportunity to show case the improvement in the yields and increase the income levels of the farmers through the use of new technology products.
We propose the discuss the importance of bringing innovative technology and products which will address the quality parameters and environment sustainability in agricultural production, besides the hygiene factors of higher yields and better Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR). The African markets need these technologies to bring higher standard of living for the farmers.
Fall army worm is a devastating pest on Maize and Sugarcane crops in more than 16 countries, which includes Africa. The State governments have been toggling with the ideas how to control.
The government of India formed a separate committee in New Delhi to work on the ways of controlling this pest. The use of Biological products to bring control of this pest is one of the options being considered.
