The Poster Exhibition is a much anticipated part of the Biostimulants World Congress where researchers have the opportunity to discuss their work with delegates at the event. There is a dedicated Poster Tour which gives viewers the opportunity to pose questions and delve deeper into the results.
In this section, we present some interviews with PhD students who submitted posters including the winner and runner-up. The winner of the 2023 Poster Competition was Jing Li from Ghent University, Belgium and the runner-up was Livia Pappalettere from University of Pisa, Italy.
The winner won a cheque for Euro 500 and a copy of the book ‘Biostimulants for Sustainable Crop Production’, Burleigh Dodds Publishing, with two of the editors being the Scientific Committee co-chairs Professors Patrick du Jardin and Patrick Brown.

The Winner and runner-up of the Student Poster competition were presented with prizes by the Scientific Committee. This included a book on biosimulants kindly provided by Burleigh Dodds publishing. New AG International also spoke with Sonia Mazzarino from the University of Turin. Her poster was titled ‘Selection of plant-associated microbes for the formulation of new inocula to be used in sustainable agriculture.’ In the audio interview, she describes the ‘surprising result’ that they obtained.
