We always secure the highest possible heat reuse and deliver high temperature heat to the district heating network or other offtaker(s).

In the Thames Estuary, we are developing a shared ESG framework that sets consistent expectations for all parties, improving transparency, speeding up planning and deployment, and maximising environmental, social, and community value. Without such a framework, ESG outcomes depend on fragmented, project-by-project approaches.

We use PUE as an entry metric but weight it alongside heat reuse potential, on-site and nearby renewable integration, carbon attribution (scope 2 accounting), and lifecycle embodied carbon of the build. We evaluate the feasibility of heat capture/use, access to high-quality renewables or PPAs, and the operator's transparency on emissions reporting and sustainability targets. Financial models incorporate decarbonisation capex and potential revenue upside from recycled-heat sales or lower energy premiums.
