The global immune health supplements market is expected to grow significantly in the years to come
The immune system is a complex and hardworking network of cells and tissues designed to protect the body from foreign elements such as bacteria and viruses.
The immune system comprises the skin which serves as the first barrier of protection against would-be invaders. At the same time, the immune system’s internal workings comprise parts of the digestive, endocrine, respiratory and skeletal systems.
Immune health was the number one claim in global supplements development in 2020, with 30% of total supplement launches carrying an immune health claim, according to Future Market Insights, a market research firm based in the US. The growing demand for products with support for immune health suggests immune health is widely perceived as a foundation for good health.
“With a variety of emerging formats competing for shelf space, formulating with research-supported immune health ingredients can help manufacturers create supplements with transparency and product differentiation. Consumers can choose the products that best meet their immune health needs,” explained Future Market Insights’ principal consultant for food and beverages, Sanjeevani Dubey.
“With a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7%, the global immune health supplements market is expected to grow significantly in the years to come.”

For starters, herbs like cistus x icanus, cat’s claw (Uncaria tomentosa), and black elderberry are gaining attention.
