Alzbeta Klein
Alzbeta Klein has been appointed the International Fertilizer Institute’s new director general, effective Jan. 11, 2021.
Klein is a global executive who brings significant finance, sustainability and emerging markets experience, most recently from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) / World Bank Group, and through her numerous board-level positions. Klein joined the World Bank Group in 1997, after several years at Export Development Canada. She progressed through the ranks, with positions of the chief of staff to the CEO of IFC, global co-head of industrials and agribusiness, global head of climate business and other appointments, both at the headquarters in Washington DC and overseas. She served on several corporate and advisory boards of leading agribusiness companies such as Hans Merensky Holdings headquartered in South Africa, Grupo Los Grobo in Argentina, and on advisory sustainability boards of Nespresso and the New York University Stern School of Business.
A citizen of Canada and Slovakia, Klein worked in all emerging market regions throughout her career. She holds an engineering degree from Prague University, Czech Republic, a Masters’ degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and is a chartered financial analyst. She also completed her executive education at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
Hugo Bony has been appointed vice-president and secretary of IBMA France.
Bony joins Céline Barthet, president, and Ronan Goff, vice-president and treasurer, in the office of the French association of companies of biocontrol products.
Bony has been managing director of Agrauxine by Lesaffre since 2016. He joined the board of directors of IBMA France in January 2018 and has been particularly involved in the association's events actions. He co-piloted the multi-site conference project (January 2019) and is at the initiative of the (ongoing) project of a "biocontrol village" during trade shows. He is also vice-president of the public-private consortium on biocontrol since May 2020.

Francisco Javier García
Symborg has named Francisco Javier García Domínguez as new chief marketing officer. He will lead the company’s marketing strategy at the international level as well as product positioning in the more than 50 countries where the company has presence.
Domínguez has over 15 years of experience as an agricultural engineer specialized in plant biotechnology. He has held technical and commercial positions and led teams in multinational companies in the agrobusiness sector, such as Dow AgroSciences. Recently, he has worked as a director of plant response in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Donald Murray
UK-based Garden Organic has appointed Donald Murray as director of organic horticulture. Garden Organic is the working name of the Henry Doubleday Research Association, and is a registered charity in England, Wales and Scotland.
Murray will be responsible for Garden Organic's development and implementation of an organic horticultural strategy.
Murray has had a distinguished career working within the horticultural sector across the UK and abroad for the past 30 years. Initially, he worked within modern and historic gardens including Belhaven Gardens, Marie Selby Botanical Garden and University of Missouri St. Louis, before taking up the role of curator at Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses. Murray was a curator at the Eden Project and progressed to become head of horticulture at the Eden Project for 10 years. Most recently, he was head of landscape and horticulture at the Mount Stuart Trust and director of horticulture at The Newt in Somerset.
Murray holds a MSc in plant taxonomy and is an active trustee of the PlantNetwork, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, Fellow of the Linnaean Society and a Member of the Professional Gardeners Guild.
