This year’s TIDES Europe conference was 100% virtual and took place on 11-13 November.The event brought together 450 attendees over the course of these 3 days, and included 130+ sessions and 120 speakers.The highlights of the meeting included the live moderated panel discussions which offered attendees the opportunity to interact with speakers/panelists on hot industry topics. The keynote presentations with live Q&A following the talks were also a great opportunity for attendees to get their questions answered by luminaries in the field.Andreas Kuhn’s keynote highlighted BioNtech’s SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine program, and Gokan Batur’s keynote discussed Polyphor’s Peptide Development Strategy, while Eric Green of Alnylam gave a keynote overview of the ONPATTRO story.Some of the hottest topics at the event translated into the largest attended virtual sessions, including sessions on Regulatory Guidance for Oligonucleotides, Vaccine and Therapeutic Development for COVID-19, Green Chemistry for Peptides and Oligonucleotides and many more.Attendees also had the opportunity to network by scheduling one-on-one meetings with each other or visiting other poster presenters in their poster rooms. They also found time to relax in a virtual yoga session.We look forward to welcoming everyone back to TIDES Europe in 2021.
