A message from the team behind QuantMinds International 2022
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for QuantMinds International 2022. It was fantastic to see the community connecting for our largest gathering since 2019! The buzz of having 400+ great minds coming together in the culturally rich city of Barcelona was unbeatable.
We welcomed the best and brightest minds in the industry and beyond to take to the stage. The diversity and depth of content put together by 110+ speakers from regulators, academics, buy and sell side from across Europe and the US was outstanding.
As part of our diversity initiatives, we launched this year’s first, outcome focused Women in Quantitative Finance Breakfast lead by six top female voices and supported by male advocates across the industry. We dug into what great culture, communication, flexibility and representation should look like as well as practical tips to help women thrive. Everyone needs to be in the room next year.
We also had the pleasure of Introducing our first PhD poster session. Six fantastic students, nominated by our advisory board, shared insights into the latest cutting-edge research from volatility-swap pricing to trading the FX volatility risk premium with machine learning and alternative data.
We also invited future QuantMinds to get involved in the discussions and pick the brains of leading experts.
As the interface of industry and academia, this is the place where innovations can become the future standards for the industry.
